Trekking and crochet weekend in Weesen

This June, we invite you to kickstart the summer with trekking and crochet in the Swiss mountains, a weekend designed around our favorite things: creating, moving through nature, and sharing adventures in las montañas.

From June 12th to 14th, we’ll head to Weesen for a two-night mountain hut stay, combining scenic hikes with a crochet workshop hosted by @amoeba449. Together, we’ve partnered to create a retreat that blends movement and creativity in a simple, grounded way. Days spent trekking through alpine landscapes and evenings slowing down, creating with our hands, and sharing warm meals at the hut.

Switzerland holds a special place in our hearts. We’ve been obsessed with hiking here since we were little, and some of the most magical treks we’ve ever done have been in these mountains. Being able to return and share this experience with you feels incredibly special.

Over two days, we’ll go on 2 trekking routes through the Swiss Alps, chosen for their scenic beauty and steady rhythm. Expect medium-difficulty hikes with time spent moving through the mountains, enjoying panoramic lake views, and fully immersing yourself in the landscape. You should feel comfortable hiking for most of the day and carrying a light backpack.

On Saturday afternoon, we’ll come together at the hut for a crochet workshop hosted by @amoeba499. As the sun sets over the mountains, you’ll learn crochet techniques and work with provided materials, creating something with your hands in a relaxed, creative atmosphere.
No previous crochet experience is required.

We’ll be staying in a traditional mountain hut, sleeping in shared dorm-style rooms. Simple, cozy, and surrounded by nature, the hut offers the perfect setting to slow down after days on the trail and fully experience mountain life.

Nestled between mountains and a beautiful lake, the area around Weesen offers striking landscapes and peaceful alpine scenery. Hiking here means moving through forests, ridgelines, and open viewpoints a true Swiss mountain experience. Easily accessible by train, Weesen is just a short train ride from Zurich, making it the perfect mountain escape without the need for a car.

All meals are included and enjoyed at the hut. From Friday dinner to a packed lunch on Sunday, meals will be warm, nourishing, and designed to support active days outdoors. Food is a central part of the experience, shared moments around the table to refuel, relax, and connect.
